Design Challenge-Add a 2nd Without it looking like an Addition
More than often adding a second story looks like an addition. This task becomes complex as the fundamentals of adding an entire new level is based on: existing downstairs flow, existing structure, client needs, client wants, building code, existing neighborhood character and the most important driver of any design the budget. So when we set forth to design we had to meet those parameters mentioned above and update this 1930’s home to the client’s needs and yet maintain the original lines of yesterday.
